Do carers actually climb into showers with patients?

29/04/2013 : My wife told me about her experiences working in a care home in the States one summer. Part of that involved her showering patients. She didnt actually realise she would be required to do this until a patient requested she shower him. I am seriously bothered by this. Should I be? From what she said it sounds like it was fairly unprofessional with no sorts of rules about appropriate behaviour. She did this more than once. I am scared that she maybe enjoyed it
