Boys want to leave

02/01/2010 : I am 42 and I have 2 boys of 17 and 15. They both told me that they are leaving home after Xmas. I think they are getting involved with the wrong crowd in our area. We live on a not very nice council estate. I know one of them is not old enough to leave but the older one is. Besides how do you actually stop someone leaving if theyv really want to? Can I call the Police or something? Has anyone else gone through anything like this?

15/12/2009 : Both my children left home this year. They left under a bit of a cloud and they have not been in touch. I want them to come home for Christmas. How can I get in touch with them?

09/11/2009 : I have a 48 year old son who wont leave home. He came back to stay with us when my hisband became ill which was a big help. But my husband died and he stayed. I did not mind at first but he does not have a job so there is not much chance of him moving out. He seems to have given up. He has even applied for something called a carers allowance from the job centre I thinkthis means that he gets paid for looking after me when I don't need looking after I just wish he would get out and get a life.

08/11/2009 : My 16 year old son has left home after a fight with his Dad. They never really got on. We know where he is he is staying with the family of his best friend they rang to tell us he was safe. He does not want to come home we says he is looking for something permanent. His Dad wont talk to himwhich annoys me because he is supposed to be the adult. How can I make my son see sense? And his Dad for that matter.

29/09/2009 : My husband and I are both 48. Our only child has just left for university. I have been dreading this time for the last few years. I do not seem to have anything to say to my husband now our child has left. We avoid each other all evening and I do not know where this is leading, I do not want to be alone but I feek like I am. How do Ibreak this deadlock?

23/09/2009 : im 14 and my mum and dad hate me they make me stay in wen i want to see my friends and they hit me all the time if i dont do what tey say. can i leave? where culd i go?
