It's a "social average" thing, NOT like throwing a switch. Teenage times affect different people in different ways ... for some, it's just getting used to the ways that their bodies are changing for others, there's a great variety of emotions involved, including a desire to shut out adults from your world. I have 5 children (all now in their 30's and 40's) and believe me, they all reacted differently. So if it's no big deal for you at the moment, then that's the way it is ... but you might feel differently next week, or next year, or perhaps never. Just accept yourself the way you are and don't feel you've got to go with the herd! Good luck! A lot will depend on the relationships you already have with y7our won parents/other adults as to exactly how these reactions will take place.
