Question Detail: I fancy one of my girlfriends best friends

I fancy one of my girlfriends best friends

Last year my girlfriend became really good friends with someone and now we're both friends with her and her boyfriend. We see alot more of her than him, she stays over at our place sometimes in the week because of work. The problem is that I find myself really attracted to her, like I get slight butterflies when I know shes comming over or if we're all going out together I get really excited! All 4 of us are going on holiday to Spain in March and I don't know how to control these feelings! I'm kind of hoping it will pass or I'll find out something awful about her and it will put me off her- but unlikely because she's a really nice girl.

.. whats the best thing to do?? I've thought about it the other way round and I think I'd rather not know- but my girlfriend is very astute and has already made a couple of passing comments, but more about her possibly liking me.. I think it's a bit of reverse psychology, luckily one skill I do have is to change the subject or defelect questions from her quite well but I can't do this forever... any ideas??

This is a really sticky situation. You don't want to hurt your current girlfriend, but things as they are can't continue. If you find that your love for your girlfriend isn't the same and that you really don't want to be with her, then yes you should end it. Make sure it's a clean clear break though, break ups can be difficult. That way if the best friend has feelings for you she will end things with her boyfriend as well. If you get with the best friend, please bear in mind the feelings of the ex's and not rush things.

Perhaps you are meant to be wiht this girl. After all, you're not married. You should find out if she likes you and if she does, leave your current girlfriend and get with your mates girl.
