Split up from boyfriend of 10 years

i have recently split up with my boyfriend of 10 years and i am absolutely devastated. it was very hard to end it as really there was nothing wrong as such my feelings for him had just changed. we have 2 lovely children so it was a huge decision to go alone. We had a good life lots in common and i still really love him but more like a brother. I am very confused now as it has been over a month and I am starting to question if i have made a huge mistake. He is very upset and confused and thinks we can work it out.

i have already caused so much upset i really dont know where to start or what to do.

replies: This is what everyone feels when you break up with someone. Decide what is right for your kids. is he a good father and a loyal husband? if he is and you and the kids still love him then STAY!!!

Anonymous replies: Would you be happy if you stayed together? Would he? If the answer to these is "sort of but not really" then you have to make that decision. Chances are I reckon you knew the answer when you split but you are now scared about that you may not be happy elsewhere....and hers the nasty bit....you might not be. Bu what you have done is given both of you the chance to be happy. I do hope you both work it out and have a happy ever after...even if it is with other people.
