Too old for sex?

Hello, I am a 56 year old virgin. I have had relationships with men, soem which lasted a long time but I never had full sex. I did manyb things but never that. I am getting curios as I get older and I wan to know what sex is like. How can I do this without exposing myself to risk?

Anonymous replies: First I am sure you are not too old for sex, I am 50 and hope very much to be still having sex in 6 years time! In terms of risks this is difficult to answer as it depends on what you are thinking of exactly. Its sounds from your question as if you are looking for the opportunity to experiment in a safe environment but not necessarily for a relationship. In which case the risk here of course is finding someone understanding whom you can trust, who is mature and emotionably stable. I have to be honest and say for men the context is not so important, the physical act is the motivation, whereas, as I understand it, a woman needs to feel secure and comfortable before she can relax and enjoy sex. All of this leads me to think that whilst most men would, given the opportunity, be happy to oblige you, you are yourself likely to be dissapointed unless you have established some level of trusting relationship with the person with whom you choose to make love. When it comes to it, in terms of basic precautions, making sure that your partner uses a condom (e.g. durex or simlar) should protect you against the obvious risks of getting pregnant or sexualy tranmitted desease.
